Job Summary
The Oracle Apps DBA is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Databases. This role involves performing installations, upgrades, patches, backups, and troubleshooting, ensuring that the system operates efficiently and meets business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i/R12 and Oracle database administration (Oracle 11g/12c/19c).
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications.
- Apply patches and updates to Oracle EBS, including functional and technical patches.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle applications and databases.
- Backup and restore Oracle databases using RMAN (Recovery Manager) or other tools.
- Perform database performance tuning, including query optimization and indexing.
- Implement and manage data security and user access policies.
- Proficiency in Oracle database tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle EBS patching, cloning, and migration techniques.
- Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server, OAM, and other Oracle technologies.
- Experience with shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL for automation and troubleshooting.
- Database RMAN backups, restores and recoveries.
- OEM monitoring, identifying performance issues.
- Unix, Linux basic support, shell scripting.
- Preferable to have knowledge in OCI.
- Good Leadership and commitment towards project management.
