Job Specification:
- Have deep knowledge of VCF, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, HCX.
- Experience in Oracle Cloud Vmware Solution (OCVS) Migration.
- Excellent knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV and VMware ESXI platforms.
- Nutanix Administration (including Prism Element and Prism Central).
- Have expertise on VMware validated designs and SDDC.
- Define the approach, tools, and end state architecture for workload migrations. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Strong Data centre or work load migration experience to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Must have relevant experience in configuring OCI components like Compute, Network, Database, Cloud security configurations etc.
- Must have experience in calculating the cost of each service and components and provide the optimal solution to the customers,Experience working with Linux.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments of existing VMWare setups, identifying migration risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop migration plans, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Execute migrations according to defined methodologies, leveraging automation tools and best practices to streamline the process.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Monitor migration progress, promptly addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise during the migration process.
- Conduct post-migration assessments to validate the performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness of migrated workloads.
Requirements:
- 5 -15 years of IT infrastructure management experience, focusing on VMWare technologies and cloud migration.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing VMWare to Oracle Cloud migration strategies, with hands-on experience executing complex migration projects.
- In-depth knowledge of VMWare virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and OCI Certified (Architect/Professional) are highly desirable.
